01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
On the 2 floor of a building in Morishita, Koto City, note is a bistro where you can enjoy accomplished cooking and wine without formality. The wood-accented counter looks onto an open kitchen, while the high-ceilinged dining room also has tables. There is room for a quiet solo meal or a relaxed conversation with a small group, with a close-up view of the kitchen from the counter.
Charcuterie and starters to pair with wine
A good place to begin is with a glass of wine and some carefully prepared cold dishes. The charcuterie platter brings together liver mousse, rillettes and pâté en croûte, with baguette alongside. There is plenty more to choose from, including easy-to-share œuf mayonnaise, carrot râpée and house-made pickles, as well as the day's carpaccio and pâté en croûte.
Mains, pasta and something sweet to finish
Among the main dishes are sautéed duck breast with red-wine sauce, the day's fish, pan-seared until golden, steak frites and roasted lamb. For a final savoury course, choose from pastas such as creamy oyster pasta and Bolognese. Set-course options can also take you from starters through fish and meat dishes. Coffee and desserts are available after the meal, along with digestifs such as spirits from Fukagawa Distillery and port, for a leisurely end to the evening.
Before you go
The restaurant is primarily open for dinner, and with limited seating, booking ahead is a sensible choice. Payment is accepted in cash, by credit card, and through PayPay and Rakuten Pay.
